Eduverse Privacy Policy

1. Google data we access

When you choose to sign in with Google and authorize access, Eduverse receives your name, email address, and profile picture. Google handles your Google account password; Eduverse does not receive it.

Eduverse uses Google for sign-in only. This integration does not request access to your Gmail messages, Google Drive files, Google Calendar events, or Google Contacts.

2. How we use this information

• Use your email address to identify your Eduverse account and support signing in.
• Use your name and profile picture to identify and personalize your account within the Student and Admin applications.
• Manage account access and respond to account-related support requests.

We do not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or use it to develop or train generalized artificial intelligence or machine-learning models.

3. Storage and retention

We store your name, email address, and profile picture or its reference with your Eduverse account in systems used to operate the applications. We retain this information for as long as needed to provide and manage your account and fulfill the purposes described in this policy.

When the information is no longer needed, or when we complete a verified deletion request, we delete it unless continued retention is required by applicable law. Information retained for a legal obligation is restricted to that purpose.

4. Sharing and disclosure

Access to Google sign-in information is limited to authorized Eduverse personnel and service providers that need it to host, operate, secure, or support the applications. Service providers may process this information only for those purposes on Eduverse's behalf.

We may disclose information when required by applicable law or when necessary to address security incidents or abuse. We do not transfer Google user data to advertising platforms, data brokers, or information resellers.

5. Data protection

We use encrypted connections to protect personal information in transit and encryption to protect stored personal information. Access controls limit access to authorized personnel who need the information to perform their duties.

No system can guarantee absolute security. You can report a suspected privacy or security issue to cto@edu-careers.org.

6. Your choices and deletion requests

To request access to, correction of, or deletion of your Google sign-in information and associated Eduverse account, email cto@edu-careers.org. Include the email address associated with your Eduverse account and whether you use the Student app, Admin app, or both. Do not send your password.

We verify your identity before completing a request. Deleting your account may prevent you from accessing services that require it. We will explain if a legal obligation prevents deletion of specific information.

You can also revoke Eduverse's Google access through your Google Account connections settings. Revoking access prevents future authorized access; it does not by itself delete information already stored by Eduverse. Contact us to request that deletion.

7. Google API Services User Data Policy

Eduverse's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements where applicable.

8. Changes to this policy

We will publish updates on this page. Before using Google user data for a new purpose or accessing additional data, we will notify affected users and obtain any required consent.
